1000 Stories Review

January 1st, 2019 by Viv Eliot

This wine is so amazing! I chose this wine because … well, the name… in essence. However, I wound up totally in love with it. The particular bottle I purchased retails at 18.99 on the 1000 Stories Wines, or you can find it stocked at your local HEB, Specs, or Twin Liquors if you are in Texas, which I am. More places to purchase nationally, if you need instant gratification: Target, and Total Wine & More.

The wine I had was a Bourbon Barrel Aged, Gold Rush Red, Vintage 2016 bottle which means that bourbon barrels were used to give it “a kiss of the unique dried herbs, smoke and burnt vanilla,” according to the 1000 Stories website. This wine is a blend of Cab Sauv, Syrah, and Zinfindel which makes it full-bodied and robust while maintaining a refreshingly smooth finish. With a 14.9% content, it will not fail to delight by the end of the bottle, no matter what!!

I can’t recommend this wine enough. I am typically not a fan of red wine, and this bottle changed my mind. I have since indulged in other red wines, unfortunately to lesser success, but hey… I am trying. So, go get reqless…grab some 1000 Stories wine, and let me know what you think.

xoxo,

Vivvy
